Egypt announced that the Palestinians, through that country, have requested a ceasefire from Israel.

Today's news reported that Iraq announced its readiness to withdraw its forces within two weeks and hand the matter over to peace mediators. This is likely a ruse to save Saddam and exploit Israel's aggression against Lebanon, which itself was among the objectives of the United States and Israel.

Iraqi fighter jets breached the airspace over Hamadan at high altitude and fled upon being pursued by our fighter jets. It was a showy action aimed at boosting morale and taking political advantage at the Havana Conference, which is currently underway with the attendance of foreign ministers from Non-Aligned countries to reach a final decision regarding the venue for the next summit of Non-Aligned heads of state. It was scheduled for this summit to be held in Baghdad, which Iran, Syria, and others oppose.

Two bills were passed by the second vote and the discussion was in the rules of the parliament.
