Censorship of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's memoirs
Since 2021, we sent the memoirs for approval, and after some time, they requested censorship in about 100 cases.
Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani: From 1981 until January 7, 2017, that is, until one day before his death, he wrote memoirs. Until the era of Mr. Raisi, neither the government nor the Ministry of Culture ever censored the memoirs.
Since 2021, we sent the memoirs for approval, and after some time, they requested censorship in about 100 cases, which we did not accept. We went to negotiate, and the 100 cases, for example, were reduced to 10 cases. For instance, they would suddenly say that an entire paragraph should be deleted.
