I rested at home until 9 a.m. At 9, along with Mr. Khamenei and Mr. Nateq Nouri, we went to serve Imam and discussed the Assembly of Experts elections. Imam agreed.

Regarding his fatwa that the use of anfal (public lands) is free for everyone during the Occultation, it was discussed and questioned whether this fatwa applies to the time of a righteous government like the current one in Iran. Imam did not give a clear answer, as he fears that if he states it explicitly, the government could prevent the use of anfal and private property rights would be violated; apparently, he does not consider it expedient.

At Imam's office, it was said that the Beit ol-Moqaddas operation has so far had fifteen thousand wounded and three thousand martyrs. But at night, when I spoke with Mr. Mohsen Rezaei, he announced the number of martyrs as four thousand seven hundred and the wounded as seventeen thousand, which is regrettable.

In the afternoon, Ahmad Agha came and discussed the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom and Mr. Shariatmadari, who wants to go abroad for treatment.

Effat and the children went to Mr. Abdul Majid Moadikhah's house for class, and I stayed home with my mother. No new or important incident has occurred. The news of the discovery of the Peykar group center in Shiraz and the arrest of sixty of its members was broadcast. There was no important news from the front, except for a slight infiltration into Iraqi territory and reports of demonstrations in Iraqi cities against that country's government.
