Then the clergy of Rafsanjan, who had returned from the front, came and brought six kilos of gold, five kilos of silver and nearly four million tomans of money from the gifts of the people of Rafsanjan for the war and the war victims.

In the evening, Mr. Dr. Velayati and Mr. [Abdol Majeed] Maadikhah came and we consulted about foreign propaganda formations. Then a group of members of the central office of Construction Jihad came and reported on the slight deviation and corruption that existed in their central office. Two of the deputy ministers of the oil ministry also came and complained to Mr. [Mohammed] Zahiri [minister of oil] about the elimination of the old forces and the cancellation of the special privileges of the oil workers.

It is good; They have sent tens of thousands of missionaries and distributed tens of thousands of tapes and books. 2,000 students have been sent to the front and they have given 170 martyrs and they said that the main concern of the forces in the front is the possibility of the officials coming short in the face of international pressures based on accepting the ceasefire and they informed that the fighters say that we are not ready to return home without realizing the declared goals of defense. The abundance of such references strengthens the possibility of planning and it can be natural. I also spoke for them and said that everything will be clear for you in the future. Don't expect to hear all the war issues in public lectures or interviews.

Mr. Engineer [Kazem] Sifian, deputy mayor of Tehran, came and talked about the problems of the municipality and the cumbersome regulations. Mr. Chepour came and handed over some dollars that remained from the time of Ayatollah [Syed Mahmoud] Taleghani. It was about twenty one thousand dollars that I handed over to Mr. [Mustafa] Katirayi in the parliament fund; It was decided that it should be used in the way of God, and he said that there was some gold left, so I told him to use it in the way of God.

I came home at night. The television showed the interview of Mr. [Ahmed] Abbasi, the son-in-law of Mr. Shariatmadari. He admitted that Mr. Shariatmadari was involved in the coup plot and had connections with one of the Persian Gulf countries.
