At home, I spent time studying for the Friday prayer sermons and reading a screenplay for the Sacred Defense. I went to the University of Tehran to lead the Friday prayers; I gave a sermon on trust in God and another on the week's occasions, including America's mischief-making and its numerous problems in Iraq, Afghanistan, and within the U.S., and its failure to create unrest in Iran and to implement the roadmap.
In Fallujah, Iraq, a U.S. military convoy was attacked with RPGs, resulting in 12 casualties and the destruction of several jeeps and armored personnel carriers. An oil pipeline north of Baghdad was blown up, and the fire continues. In Basra, due to opposition operations, electricity has been cut in many areas, and parts of southern Baghdad are also without power. The fear and flight of American soldiers are increasing. For the first time, the Polish military base in Iraq was attacked. There is extensive propaganda in foreign media regarding remarks made by Mr. Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi in his last speech before the Friday prayers. He stated that Iran is the most usurious country in the world.
