روایت قابل تامل اکبر هاشمی رفسنجانی از آیت الله خامنه ای

On September 17, 2002, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani went to see Ayatollah Khamenei, and he used the expression of seeking help.

On September 17, 2002, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani went to see Ayatollah Khamenei, who recounted an instance of seeking help from the Quran during his presidency, when he was sometimes in the minority among the heads of branches of power:

Referring to his memoirs, he said that during his presidency, when he had disagreements with the leftists, in the meetings of the heads, usually [Mir-Hossein Mousavi], the Prime Minister, Ahmad Agha, and [Seyyed Abdolkarim] Mousavi Ardebili were coordinated, and he was in the minority. Sometimes, he would consider their views.

For this reason, he reached a serious point of distress and decided to resign; eventually, he turned to the Quran. The verse about Prophet Joseph and his brother came to mind. He had written this down, but at that time did not fully understand it, and today it has become clear to him.
