خاطرات اکبر هاشمی - ۸ شهريور ۱۳۸۱

American leaders these days are facing many questions for which they have no answers

The leaders of America these days are facing many questions for which they do not have an answer;  For example, what is the fate of the claim of the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, on the pretext of which the war started?  Or how does the goal of fighting terrorism, which is one of the main claimed goals, be achieved by agreeing with the Mojahedin Khalq Organization?  Or what will be the action of America regarding Iraqi oil, which the political circles of the world consider to be the real goal of the war?
The roadmap proposed by the United States, the United Nations, Russia and the European Union was given to him yesterday by the UN representative in the office of [Mahmoud Abbas] Abu Mazen, [Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority].  [Sheikh Ahmed Yassin], the leader of Hamas, quickly rejected it and said that this plan was prepared to support Israel and hit the Palestinian nation.  Today, Israel mercilessly launched a massive attack against the people of Gaza, and 12 martyrs, 35 wounded and a number of prisoners were captured.  Of course, he lost several wounded and two or three tanks and military vehicles.
In Fallujah, Iraq, two grenades were thrown by unknown people at the US military headquarters.  American sources said that seven soldiers were wounded.  Today in Najaf, an unprecedented gathering of people from all over Iraq attended the occasion of the death of the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hassan (PBUH).  In Baghdad, the opposition leaders met for the future government of Iraq.  In a joint report, the presidential council should be formed.
In the annual report of the White House to Congress, seven countries, Iran, [Iraq], Cuba, Sudan, Syria, Libya and North Korea, have been accused of supporting terrorism. The United States has officially notified 14 Arab countries to form effective parties for democracy.  Including Syria, Jordan and Maghreb.
In Türkiye, a magnitude 6.6 earthquake occurred in the southeast, and so far 90 people have been killed, 500 injured and 100 missing.  In South Africa, a bus crashed into a dam and killed 80.  In Nigeria, the workers of the US-owned oil field have gone on strike and have taken 100 foreigners hostage.  Government forces have been sent to suppress them, but the trade unions have announced that if they resort to force, they will harm the interests of the United States.
I was at home all day.
