I was at work from early morning. At 7:00 AM we had a Presidium meeting, and at seven thirty we had an open session. After the session, visitors came.
One [of the visitors] had a complaint about Sheikh Mohammad Hashemian's judgment in Rafsanjan. An individual also came from among the Tehran Refinery workers and gave warnings regarding the danger of conspirators there.
In the afternoon, Dr. Hadi came and requested the confidential bulletin of the Pars News Agency. In the evening, I attended the meeting of the [Central] Council of the Islamic Republican Party. Mr. Beheshti gave an account of his meeting with the Imam, and Mr. Khamenei also recounted his own meeting at Parliament.
From the sum of the reports, it is [thus] gathered that the Imam has taken notice of the danger of liberals and their line in the army, and has begun thinking of a solution.
We had a detailed discussion regarding the Cultural Revolution and the fate of the universities. I learned that Haj Ahmad Aqa Khomeini had held a press conference and, unlike past interviews, showed relative alignment with the Line of the Imam, condemned the stance of his nephew Hossein Aqa, and [provided] an explanation of the meaning of the Third Line (Khatt-e Sevvom).
At night, I attended a joint meeting of the representatives and executive officials of the Islamic Republican Party. The Minister of Commerce—Mr. Kazempour Ardebili—made good points. The issue of nationalizing foreign trade was raised. At home at night, an employee from the Behshahr site came and gave a report.
