خاطرات اکبر هاشمی - ۲۸ تير ۱۳۸۱

I hadn't slept well last night. I woke up at two in the morning with the alarm clock, to take the medicine for my menstrual cycle.

In the first sermon, I explained the issue of negligence as one of the moral issues in the Quran and also made some references to Mr. Taheri Isfahani, who after a lifetime of effort and struggle, should not have turned out this way. In the second sermon, I mainly addressed President Bush's statement regarding Iran and the reasons for our opposition to the United States and the animosity of the U.S. towards the Islamic Revolution, as well as issues relating to Palestine.

I hadn't slept well last night. I woke up at two in the morning to the alarm clock to take my medication. After a bit of sleep, I woke up to an unfamiliar sound. I searched the building to find the source of the sound; it turned out it was due to a fault in the heating system's pump in the basement. I became restless and couldn’t sleep until morning.I spent most of my time at home studying: plans for self-sufficiency in wheat production and management plans for affected women along with numerous reports. I went to the University of Tehran for Friday prayers. From Enghelab Square to the university, I participated in the rally along with the people. The presence of the people was magnificent, abundant, and passionate. They expressed warm and heartfelt emotions. In the first sermon, I explained the issue of negligence as part of certain Quranic ethical issues and also made a reference to Mr. [Seyyed Jalaluddin] Taheri of Isfahan, stating that after a lifetime of effort and struggle, it should not have ended like this. In the second sermon, I mainly addressed the statement by [George Bush], the President of the United States, regarding Iran and the reasons for our opposition to America, as well as America’s hostility towards the Islamic Revolution and issues concerning Palestine.
