Messrs. Ali Akbar Salehi, Iran's representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency; Mir Taher Mousavi, representative of Karaj; Jafar Golbaz, representative of Savojbolagh; and Ms. Shahrbanoo Amani, representative of Urmia, came. They asked me to help with obtaining permission to accept the Additional Protocol 2+93. I said that permission to enter negotiations has been given, but the executors have weaknesses. They can start negotiations to persuade Iran's terms, and it might take years; just as the U.S., after years of negotiation, is now ready to sign.

They also discussed the actions of the disruptors in recent incidents, prisoners, interrogations, cases and trials, the weak cooperation of the Ministry of Intelligence, the culprits in the Ministry of Science, and parliamentarians, and called for decisiveness in punishing the guilty. They said that Mohsen Sazgara, Reza Alijani, and others had a hand in directing the unrest. They said that 32 students have also been arrested who do not deserve release. They complained about the atmosphere created by the Second of Khordad group.

Mr. Ali Larijani, the head of the IRIB, came and said that the government, the parliament, and the Supreme National Security Council are not serious in implementing the approvals of the Leader's meeting, and a decisive group should be formed for follow-up.

In the vicinity of Basra, Iraqi people killed six British soldiers and wounded seven others. The cause was protests against their assault on families. This news has caused an earthquake in Britain. Effective attacks have been made on American soldiers and oil pipelines, and electricity in most of Iraq has been cut off.
