In the vicinity of Basra, Iraqi people killed six British soldiers and wounded seven others. The cause was protests against their assault on families.

Messrs. Ali Akbar Salehi, Iran's representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency; Mir Taher Mousavi, representative of Karaj; Jafar Golbaz, representative of Savojbolagh; and Ms. Shahrbanoo Amani, representative of Urmia, came. They asked me to help with obtaining permission to accept the Additional Protocol 2+93. I said that permission to enter negotiations has been given, but the executors have weaknesses. They can start negotiations to persuade Iran's terms, and it might take years; just as the U.S., after years of negotiation, is now ready to sign.

The Association for the Support of Chemical Veterans came. They are striving to defend their rights and inform global centers. Dr. Mohammad Reza Soroush, the head of the association, and Dr. Shahriar Khateri, the director of international relations, gave a report. I also explained the importance of complaint and claiming rights through international and domestic courts. I also gave an interview. Mr. Reza Agha Nouri, the director of the Tehran Veterans Foundation, separately presented plans regarding scientific and practical support for veterans.

In the evening, Messrs. Abbas Ali Alizadeh, Judge Saeed Mortazavi, the head of justice and the prosecutor of Tehran, and Mohammad Javad Larijani, the Deputy for International Affairs of the Judiciary, came. They gave a report on the establishment of prosecutor's offices, costs, personnel, and new buildings. They also discussed the actions of the disruptors in recent incidents, prisoners, interrogations, cases and trials, the weak cooperation of the Ministry of Intelligence, the culprits in the Ministry of Science, and parliamentarians, and called for decisiveness in punishing the guilty. They said that Mohsen Sazgara, Reza Alijani, and others had a hand in directing the unrest. They said that 32 students have also been arrested who do not deserve release. They complained about the atmosphere created by the Second of Khordad group.

Mr. Ali Larijani, the head of the IRIB, came and said that the government, the parliament, and the Supreme National Security Council are not serious in implementing the approvals of the Leader's meeting, and a decisive group should be formed for follow-up.

South of Robat Karim, a military training plane crashed and seven people died. Mr. Khatami, the President, went to Shahriar and Robat Karim today. The low turnout of people at the speeches has been noted and has caused displeasure.

A French fighter jet was shot down in Djibouti. A ship carrying 100,000 tons of Russian oil ran aground in the Arctic Ocean. In New York, there have been protests against George W. Bush's visit. Five million bees attacked a city in Kansas, USA.

In the vicinity of Basra, Iraqi people killed six British soldiers and wounded seven others. The cause was protests against their assault on families. This news has caused an earthquake in Britain. Effective attacks have been made on American soldiers and oil pipelines, and electricity in most of Iraq has been cut off.
