It has been said in the [UN] Security Council that Russia and France have agreed to the amended resolution proposed by the United States, and today Resolution 1441 was issued regarding the [disarmament] of Iraq.  In the new resolution, Iraq has been given a week to announce its acceptance.  Then the UN inspectors have 45 days to start their work and two months to announce their final opinion.  Implicitly, the use of force is included in case of non-cooperation of Iraq, and as a result, they have five months to reach a new decision, and Iraq, with the skill it has to play, can extend this period.  In Afghanistan, America has again admitted to killing innocent people and apologized.

In Gibraltar, an opinion poll was conducted by the government about the joint administration of England and Spain, and about 98 percent of the people opposed it;  Although Spain and England do not accept this opinion poll, but in any case, this decisive opinion of the people is not without influence.  Gibraltar is in the south of Spain, but it has been occupied by England for many years.  

The 16th Congress of the [Communist Party] of China, with the presence of more than two thousand party leaders from all over China, has started working, and the old cadre of the party has to give its place to the younger cadre.  Mr. Jiang Zemin, the leader of the country, in his speech, asked the leaders of Taiwan to negotiate within the framework of one China, but the leaders of Taiwan do not accept one China.  He promised to strengthen the Communist Party and at the same time he promised the open door policy, which is contradictory.
