We had a public session, and the discussion was on the budget. The speeches were lengthy, and it was easy to conduct the session, with less need for my intervention. I stayed until the end of the session. Since it was Saturday and some members arrived late, the session began three hours late because they had gone on trips. We made up for it in the afternoon and submitted the names of the absentees, which were read out on IRIB news. It had an effect and caused some of them to complain.
In the afternoon, I gave interviews to Kayhan, Omid-e Enghelab, and another magazine concerning the 15 Khordad uprising and the Parliament. Messrs. Mohsen Rezaei and Mohammadzadeh came. We discussed how to proceed following the Imam’s statements. I spent the night at the Parliament. Having more time to rest gave me an opportunity to read many of the reports and correspondence that had accumulated on my desk.
At night, they reported that someone had fired shots from outside at one of the Army barracks. The same incident had occurred several weeks earlier as well. It must be part of a plan, and we should uncover its perpetrators and objectives.
News came that the Bandar Abbas terrorist gang, which had recently carried out several assassinations, had been caught. It is interesting. News also came that several of the armed thugs from Baluchistan who had been involved in the assassination of the committed Sunni cleric of Zabol, Hossein Bor, and the killing of gendarmes, had been arrested.
