  Confusion continued to resign for failing to defeat the July 18th demonstrations and resignation of Mr Taheri/Officer of Parties' Supervision in the Ministry of Interior, who was arrested during the July 18th events, and criticized the interference of personal clothing.

In an unprecedented action, the US president issued a statement calling on Iranian officials to pay attention to human rights and freedom and in fact explicitly support the opposition, which would cause them to be disrupted.  The Azad newspaper has been banned for failing to pay attention to the order of the Supreme National Security Council [on the letter of Ayatollah Taheri's resignation], and the second Khordadi newspapers have protested the council's order.
