خاطرات اکبر هاشمی - ۲۶ بهمن ١٣٨١

In both the American and British parliaments, pressure has begun on the governments to explain the causes and factors of the war in Iraq, especially the claim of the existence of weapons of mass destruction.

We went to Imam's shrine for the anniversary of Imam's death.  Ayatollah Khamenei gave a detailed speech.   During his speech, slogans were given against parliament members, which is unprecedented.  such as "the American lawyer should be fired".  Chastity was also with me.
In both the American and British parliaments, pressure has begun on the governments to explain the causes and factors of the war in Iraq, and especially the claim of the existence of weapons of mass destruction, of which no traces have been found so far;  Although many American experts have gone to Baghdad to search.  In the British Parliament today, the Prime Minister was almost tried by the representatives of three parties;  Regarding giving false information to people to justify war and deceive public opinion.  He blamed the intelligence forces, but they did not accept and said, they are also under his command.  Robin Cook leads the critics.  In the same meeting, it was said about Iran that it should accept 93 + 2 unconditionally and immediately.
I studied at home until the evening.  Part of the time was spent studying Fati's doctoral dissertation on the Persian Gulf.   I went to the office.  I used the pool and sauna.  At night, I went to the shrine of the Imam and gave a speech about the Imam and the fifteenth of Khordad.
We returned by metro.  We rode from [Shahid] Beheshtzahra station to [Shahid Haqqani station in] Mirdamad;  Mohsen, [Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Metro Company] was explaining.  It is very magnificent.
In the session of the Assembly [Determining Expediency of the Nizam], Mr. Bejnordi expressed his displeasure with the slogans that were given against the parliamentarians in today's ceremony and said, from the point of view of foreigners, it is not right to insult the parliament.
George Bush [President of the United States] went to Jordan and had a meeting with King Abdullah, Abu Mazen and Sharon about the road map.  After the meeting, Bush said, America is committed to maintaining Israel's security.  Sharon said, Israel's security cannot be compared with anything.  Abu Mazen said that he accepted the plan of the road map unconditionally.  Hamas, Jihad and the People's Front condemned the summit and said that the aim is to violate the rights of the Palestinian people.
[Saud Al-Faisal], Saudi Foreign Minister said, from now on, he will not provide financial aid to the families of the martyrs of the suicide operation.  It was announced that Saudi Arabia and Morocco have arrested some of the perpetrators of the recent explosions.  In Iraq, there have been massive anti-American protests.  A group of Iraqis had come to Iran for the [anniversary of the Imam's death] ceremony, and in today's ceremony they chanted slogans of "Kalla Kalla America".
