We had an open session. A few more articles of the Water Bill were approved. At noon, Mr. [Mostafa Haeri] Fowmani came and gave a report on the nature of the clashes between the IRGC and the Qashqai tribesmen. They are a combination of feudal lords (*khanin*), the Hypocrites [MEK], and communists who have rebelled and fled to the mountains, and the IRGC took preemptive action and attacked their positions, and now they want to surrender.

In the afternoon, I taught the position class of the [Islamic] Republican Party. Then I had a meeting with the Engineers' Branch of the Islamic Republican Party, followed by a meeting with commanders and training officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; I delivered a speech to both groups and gave a television interview regarding Mid-Sha'ban and the Day of the Oppressed. I attended the seminar of judges and prosecutors of the Revolution courts.

They protested against the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Justice, and the non-Islamic laws remaining from the Taghut era. I stated that laws are reformed gradually, just as in the early days of Islam, and I spoke about the necessity of discipline in the Revolution courts. At 8:30 PM, I arrived home. Mr. Khamenei was originally scheduled to lead the Friday prayers tomorrow. For some reason, he withdrew and had designated Mr. Mousavi Ardebili. Late at night, they called to say that he was not going either and asked for my help; eventually, it was agreed that they either find one of the gentlemen or go themselves.
