I stayed home all day today and mostly rested. Early in the morning, my nephew Reza—who studies in India—came. Then Mr. Ghiyouran came. He was a special inspector for Mr. Bani-Sadr and performed inspection work for the Presidential Office. He recently submitted his resignation, but it was not accepted. He provided troubling information from inside the military (Artesh); regarding Bani-Sadr's command, I told him to share [his information] with Mr. Rajai so that he could raise it in the Supreme Defense Council. He was deeply upset with Mr. Bani-Sadr.

I studied the plan for the fair distribution of the country's water—which was prepared by the Ministry of Energy. Mehdi and Yaser went mountain climbing accompanied by a guard (Pasdar), returning in the evening pleased and happy.

In the evening, Mr. Neshasteh-pour came. He wanted a letter of recommendation from me to obtain three confiscated houses from the Mostazafan Foundation (Bonyad-e Mostazafan) for housing disabled war veterans, which I wrote. He said they manage three hundred and some disabled families in such houses.

We also played ping-pong for a bit with the guards (Pasdars) in the courtyard of the house. Early in the evening, Messrs. Loulachian and Tavakkoli came. They were making arrangements for housing and facilities for Iranian pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia, and said it is planned to take all those who were deprived of going to Mecca last year due to the war (around 65,000 people) to Mecca. They consulted on how to handle interactions with Saudi officials.

Faezeh and Hamid also came; they are looking to secure housing and start an independent life. Although eventually they have to leave, it is a bit tough and hard for the children to separate from us, but there is no choice. Effat is also keen for them to become independent sooner, and logically and practically speaking, she is right.
