In the afternoon, members of the Central Council of the Friday Prayer Headquarters came, and we discussed the construction of the Musalla and its location. We preferred the Abbasabad Barracks over Eshratabad.

We held an open session. Several bills were passed, and Dr. Velayati answered Mr. [Sadegh] Khalkhali's question regarding the disorganization of the embassies. At noon, Mr. [Seyyed Hassan] Va'ez [Mousavi Anzabi, representative for Urmia] brought the report of the delegation sent to West Azerbaijan. I spoke with Engineer [Mehdi] Tayyeb [representative for Na'in], who had submitted his resignation. He withdrew his resignation. He had assumed that the Imam's private remarks were directed at him, but it became clear that he was mistaken.

In the afternoon, members of the Central Council of the Friday Prayer Headquarters came, and we discussed the construction of the Musalla and its location. We preferred the Abbasabad Barracks over Eshratabad.

The head of the Awqaf [Endowments] Organization and its department directors and heads came, and I delivered a speech for them. I advised them to build public trust in endowments through their actions. Before noon, the Islamic Associations of male and female students from Tabriz came, and I gave a speech for them as well.

At night, I returned home. No one was there, so I ate a quantity of mulberries that the Guards had brought from the villages instead of dinner. Effat and the children had attended the commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of the 7th of Tir at the Martyr Motahhari Higher School and returned at midnight.
