Weightlifting again in Ayatollah style

My summary, at least up until now, the day before the presidential election, is that despite the numerous unethical behaviors that have occurred in every dimension, none of the supporters of either side currently care about the general programs of their preferred candidates.

The conditions have become so competitive and polarized that each side is focused on defeating the other and declaring the presidency in favor of their chosen candidate, much like a football match in a derby.

This atmosphere is, of course, favorable for the governing institutions, which have remained silent while candidates and their supporters freely express any claims and programs concerning the country’s structures—managed and without reference to the leader.

Now, we must see whether the outcome of the ballot box and citizen participation will favor Dr. Saeed or Dr. Masoud.

What is quite evident is that the leader of the Islamic Republic is the main winner in this significant game he has endorsed.

The measure and weight of the moderates, reformists, and all groups critical of the Islamic Republic, along with the presidents Rouhani and Khatami, who support Masoud Pezeshkian, and the established government structures and specific supporters of the revolution front and the family of Ebrahim Raisi, who support Saeed Jalili, will be revealed tomorrow.
