In strange remarks, Asadi stated: "The likelihood of the release of iPhone imports is very high, but the final decision rests with the Article 90 Commission."

Mahdi Asadi, President of the Mobile Importers Association, regarding the lifting of the iPhone import ban, stated: "The likelihood of lifting the ban on iPhone imports is very high, but since the decision to impose this ban was made by the Article 90 Commission of the Parliament, its removal also depends on the decision of this commission."

Asadi noted: "Currently, since Parliament is on recess and the new Parliament must come into session, committees need to be formed, and this issue must be placed on the committee's agenda. Therefore, it may take about a month or a month and a half for this ban to be lifted."

He added: "The 96% commercial profit margin causes the price of iPhones to skyrocket, forcing buyers to pay the equivalent of two phones to purchase one."

*Note: I wish Mr. Mahdi Asadi, President of the Mobile Importers Association, had reviewed the document I published exclusively and much earlier in Abdi Media before making such statements.*

Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian, Vice President of the Article 90 Commission of the Constitution and Head of the Task Force to Combat Smuggling of Goods and Currency, in a letter sent on March 7, 2022, urged the First Vice President to "implement the orders of the Supreme Leader" and to prevent the allocation of currency for the import of luxury American phones.

Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian is also present in the new Parliament, and the result remains the same as I have repeatedly stated: until the will of Ayatollah Khamenei changes, the import of iPhones should be forgotten.
