Until seven in the morning, I was studying. Mr. [Ali Akbar] Mohtashami, our ambassador to Syria and head of the IRGC, and Mr. Sayyed Abbas, a member of the Council for Lebanese Affairs, arrived. They gave a report on the situation there and on the fact that the IRGC in Lebanon operates mostly through the Dawa Party - Messrs. Sobhi and Kourani.

They reported on the situation there and sought a solution to the IRGC operating in Lebanon mostly through the Hezbollah party – Mr. Sobhi and Mr. Korani.
Colonel Samimi, the head of the police, came and spoke about the shortage of personnel and the need for developed cities to expand their police forces, the desire of central police personnel to transfer to other cities, and the lack of equipment. I offered a proposal for a new recruitment policy.
In the President's office, we had a meeting of the heads of the three branches of government, at the Imam's order, to address the dispute between the supervisory council and the CEO of صداوسیما (IRIB). Mr. Hassan Rouhani explained the history of the disagreements and the CEO's weaknesses, and the CEO defended himself; the rest of the discussion was postponed to the next meeting. At ten in the morning, I met with the Minister of Oil in my office; he reported on OPEC and announced that they have a plan to control the leaking Norouz well, which will be implemented soon. Dr. Mohammad Taqi Banki, head of the Plan and Budget Organization, and his deputies came and explained the five-year plan and suggested a method for quality review in the parliament. Mr. Karroubi, head of the Martyrs Foundation, came with the editorial board of Shahed magazine, the official organ of the Martyrs Foundation. They reported on their work and said that this magazine has a circulation of one hundred thousand copies; I spoke to them at length.
Finally, we had a meeting of the Economic Council for the fair distribution of goods. In this meeting, the prices of some goods were determined. Early in the evening, I discussed cabinet reshuffling with Engineer Mir-Hossein Mousavi, the Prime Minister, and the President. At noon, Mr. Ahmad Hemmati, representative and Friday Imam of Meshkin Shahr, came and complained about their religious judge. Mr. Hossein Bazghandi, representative from Azna, came and complained about the Friday Imam of Dorud. I stayed in the parliament at night; I watched a film from the front. The situation in the north, center, and south of the front is good.
