These remarks do not belong to today. Their content goes back to Mousavi's positions regarding the adjustment of energy carrier prices in past years.

Mir-Hossein Mousavi:

"Are you, by raising gasoline prices, willing to offer domestic cars at global prices as well?
Are you willing to adjust workers' and employees' wages in line with the average increase in prices?"

These remarks do not belong to today. Their content goes back to Mousavi's positions regarding the adjustment of energy carrier prices in past years; a question about a simple contradiction: if a part of the people's living costs is to be measured by global prices, then by what standard should income and other components of the economy be measured?

This question has become relevant again today.
According to published reports, unleaded gasoline without subsidies is to be offered at the refinery-gate cost price of 87,200 tomans per liter at 204 fuel stations in Kerman Province.

Regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with energy price rationalization, the question remains:
Can price rationalization begin only from the consumer's pocket, without wages, car quality, market competition, and people's purchasing power also being part of the same equation?
