Sabzalipour: Let's not destroy the lives and businesses of shopkeepers under the pretext of fighting commodity smuggling

Mohammad Reza Sabzalipour, the head of the Iran World Trade Center, stated in the gathering of economic activists: For some time, the respected officials have been thinking about fighting the smuggling of goods, but instead of arresting the big smugglers and major sellers of smuggled goods and blocking the official means of entry of smuggled goods into the country, by creating a group, they fall to the lives of businesses and shopkeepers all over the country and deal with the sellers of foreign goods!! 

In this regard, every day a group with trucks carrying goods attacks the stores and shops that sell foreign goods and collect all their goods and sweep the entire shop and carry the goods by truck and take them with them!! In fact, shopkeepers take shopkeepers with them under the pretext of selling smuggled foreign goods and blacken the days of shopkeepers and store owners!! Some hundreds of millions to tens of billions of tomans of goods from each seller have been confiscated and taken with them!! 

He said: "If this is the way to fight the smuggling of goods, then after tomorrow send groups into the alleys and streets and see if someone is wearing, for example, foreign shoes and clothes, relieve them of tension, or if someone had chocolate or foreign food, take that food from his hand and destroy it, or if someone had used perfume and cologne or foreign toiletries and cosmetics, finally deal with him in some way!! Or go and knock on the doors of people's houses one by one and search the houses and if someone has foreign kitchen utensils or foreign household appliances, seize the appliances of that house on suspicion of being smuggled goods!! 

Sabzalipour stated: The way to fight the smuggling of goods is not to lose the lives of people in the alleys, markets and streets, and the water should be dried from the source and the main smugglers and major sellers should be dealt with.
