A camel whose reins are loose

In yesterday's issue, Kayhan newspaper accused these two social reporters of "betrayal" and "collaboration with the CIA" under the pretext of awarding the National Press Club of America award to Elaha Mohammadi and Nilufar Hamidi.
Kayhan is not a private sector magazine whose scandals can be ignored or underestimated. Unfortunately, this newspaper has a reputation as a representative of the government and is known as one of its spokespersons.

When the officials or appointees of a government open their hands to attribute any kind of slander to critical or opposing citizens, what else can really be said?

From the beginning of human civilization until now, the principle of acquittal, which means acknowledging the innocence of people in society, as long as they have not been convicted of committing a crime in a competent court based on evidence and documents, has been and is an obvious and common principle of judicial justice.

Elaha Mohammadi and Nilufar Hamedi have been detained as accused for about 10 months. Their court is held behind closed doors and in a branch with a history of issuing harsh and harsh judgments and is subject to severe criticism by the legal community of the country. The same court has not yet issued its verdict on them; But in the meantime, Keihan newspaper, as one of the spokespersons of the government, has made them the target of heavy, unproven accusations, regardless and without any feeling of concern about prosecution or citizens' complaints!

Keihan's evidence in this particular case can probably be the statement of the two security institutions of the country during last year's unrest, but the same problems that have happened to Keihan can also be applied to those institutions because they made public accusations against the two journalists before the judicial proceedings. At the public level, they made it as if just by their claim, such accusations become confirmed and definite!

Are these behaviors a sign of ignorance of the legal standards related to the rights of the accused? Or that despite being informed, there is no obligation to comply with them?
It is strange that these kinds of encounters have become a habit and the institutions, including the judicial system, either defend it or are indifferent to it.

With such a situation, there are frequent complaints about the irregularity of the accusations of the opponents of subverting the government against the ruling authorities and institutions! When the supporters of a government are free to make any slander and unproven accusation against the citizens of the country, how can we expect accuracy, fairness and piety from the opposition in this regard?

No one will be immune to slander, slander and accusations. Those who open and pave such ways do not only harm their counterpart. The harness of the camel of accusation, let loose, will kneel before any house. In this way, societies experience complete moral collapse.
