Today, after a 30-day pause, the U.S. government has decided to impose tariffs of 25 percent on Canadian exports and 10 percent on Canadian energy. Let me be clear that there is no justification for these actions.
If the U.S. tariffs are implemented, Canada will respond with a 25 percent tariff on $155 billion of U.S. goods starting tomorrow morning.
