Ebrahim Raisi's Foreign Minister has also begun distorting reality and manipulating history

Amir Abdollahian, the revolutionary Foreign Minister of Ebrahim Raisi’s administration, tweeted: "Imam Khomeini’s (RA) initiative in naming the *Unity Week* was based on the approach of Muslim solidarity and the convergence of Islamic states to achieve the highest human values and human happiness."

This blatant lie and distortion of history comes despite the fact that, according to existing documents, Unity Week was proposed and initiated by Ayatollah Montazeri in 1981 and later approved by Ayatollah Khomeini.

Even Sheikh Ahmad Jannati stated in a video: "I kiss Ayatollah Montazeri’s hand for showing two valuable initiatives. One was the Unity Week initiative, and the other was the *Week of Wilaya*. Both are remarkable contributions."

It is unclear why the young, devout, revolutionary Minister, despite easy access to historical documents and events, failed to preserve the dignity of his high ministerial position by publishing such a false statement. Either he is unaware of history or has an ulterior motive, and in either case, it is regrettable.
