After the publication of the details of the hostage-taking incident of a family in Rasht, which had a great impact on public opinion, and the hostage-takers were arrested and released by special judicial measures, some media outlets have published false information claiming that the hostage-takers were released on bail in their previous case.

However, this claim was not true, and the Rasht Prosecutor had previously announced: "Two of the hostage-takers in the city of Hashtgerd had a history of hostage-taking, were sentenced to 8 years in prison in the Hashtgerd Courthouse, and were absconding." These individuals had come to the city of Rasht to evade the execution of the sentence and lived in hiding so that the sentence would not be carried out against them.

Until July 10 of this year, after a public report in a meeting with the judicial authorities, in less than an hour of the initial report, intelligence agents arrived at the scene with a special judicial order and rescued the family members of the hostage, and the two brothers of the hostage-taker were also arrested.

Initial investigations and interrogations revealed that a woman was an accomplice to the hostage-takers, who was also arrested on July 12.
