It is surprising that despite other constraints, in a matter where the interference of an immigrant in the affairs of Iranian society is considered, and which strongly carries the potential of becoming "a matter of honor," the respected officials have decided to grant permission. It is not in the best interest to involve immigrants, who lack permission for many routine and trivial matters, in such a sensitive issue.

Some migration activists view the creation of "migrant colonies," where they would have their own judicial and even police systems, as harmful to security and social cohesion, although some of these activists may be exaggerating.

With these considerations in mind, it seems that this issue will have harmful effects on the relations between the two nations and the positive coexistence and behavior that the host and migrant societies have shared, especially at a time when many are fueling the flames of anti-migrant sentiment.
