Initial Conviction of 12 Lawyers on Security Charges at the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad

Hossein Paylakhi's lawyer said in an interview with the Lawyer Press News Base: "In addition to the case that was filed last year against 17 respected lawyers of the judiciary, according to the report of the Intelligence Department, which led to the issuance of arrest warrants and indictments for 15 of the loved ones, a preliminary decision was issued by the court, which unfortunately led to the conviction of 12 colleagues, which was taken into account the conversion of the imprisonment of some of the colleagues to A fine and a partial suspension of the prison sentence for three of the colleagues are still applicable and enforceable.

He added: "A suspension of prosecution order has been issued against one of my colleagues based on the Supreme Leader's pardon in the second half of 2022, and two of the colleagues in the case have been returned to the Honorable Prosecutor's Office for new charges."

Paylakhi's lawyer, who represented three of the defendants in this case, added: "Unfortunately, the court case has effective flaws in terms of legal standards and the definition of the crime of propaganda against the system, which is the subject of Article 500 of the Penal Code, and the compatibility of the material element with the legal element through the analysis and examination of the actions and actions of colleagues, which will be addressed in its place."
