lack of livestock inputs, delay in the allocation of currency and inefficiency of government distribution systems, sharp increase in the price of chicken

Samiye Baghi, Rokna reporter: The lack of livestock inputs, the delay in the allocation of foreign currency and the inefficiency of government distribution systems have led to a sharp increase in the price of chicken and eggs and brought production to a halt.

In recent days, the price of one kilo of chicken meat in the open market has exceeded 170 thousand tomans and each egg comb has exceeded 200 thousand tomans.  An increase that experts consider to be the result of severe shortage of livestock inputs and disruption in the market system.

According to reports, the delay in supply and distribution of inputs has caused double pressure on producers and increased the cost of protein products.

Poultry farmers say: The chickens are hungry, they don't have seeds to eat, and if they don't eat anything in two days, they will all be wasted and we have to throw them away.
