Mourning people are very sad. Some of them, with the help of relatives and relief forces, are searching the place of their houses for people, corpses and furniture. There were few corpses and wounded; Often transferred. I talked with the officials in the tent of the relief headquarters; Division of work and new organization was made. They have not reached the villages yet; The helicopters are supposed to be activated. I gave a short speech to a group of people and we went to the city of Manjil.
There is more damage in Manjil, but the relief works are ahead; Because the road was open yesterday. We handed over the city of Manjil to Tehran Municipality. The situation of the people is like a river. I spoke with the commander of the local barracks. A group of Iraqi prisoners are here who are being kept in the open; Due to the strength of the barracks, there were no casualties except for a few wounded.
We flew with the aim of going to the ruined villages of Qazvin, but the pilots said on the way that they could not sit down; I guess they will say the opposite. It seems that Hwaniroz has not performed well in general. We landed at Lahoti barracks. I did an interview. I came home very tired and exhausted. They requested an opinion from the House of Ayatollah [Mohammed Ali] Araki, [from the authority of Taqlid], to declare the permission to pay the imam's share.
Dr. Velayati, [Minister of Foreign Affairs], asked over the phone about accepting foreign aid, especially from countries like Egypt and America; I said there is no problem. The report gave the extent of the proposed foreign aid. I told Mr. [Mohammed] Faruzandeh, [Deputy of the Headquarters of the General Forces] to agree, let the engineering vehicles come from the front. Yaser also arrived and said that reaching Dilaman area is not good.
