I went to the assembly early in the morning; Before the order, I talked about the confirmation of the President's warning to Saddam. The election bill was finished and two questions were asked. At noon, I had several meetings in my office.

Mr. Khair, the deputy minister of oil, came and said that he wants to be a candidate for parliament and announced the success in purchasing some important items. Mr. Latif Safari [Islamabad West representative] also came and consulted about becoming a candidate. Mr. Seyed Mohsen Mousavi Tabrizi also came and criticized Mr. [Ismail] Ferdowsi [Pour] for the Ministry of Information and nominated himself. He asked me to participate in the opening ceremony of Shahid Beheshti University - Former National University.

In the evening, [members] of the board of directors of the Qaim company came and gave ten million tomans to the Islamic Azad University. Mr. Dr. Zali [Minister of Agriculture] came to meet. He gave reports about the state of agriculture and consulted. I had a meeting with the North Korean delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister. He gave the message of Mr. Kim Il Sung. He demanded a deadline to pay their debts. They are 180 million dollars behind and want to buy 220 million dollars of oil next year.

In the evening, we participated in the future operations headquarters meeting. There were also soldiers. The army is well prepared, but the ground force [army] is not well prepared; We revised and approved the plans. I went to the assembly at around twelve o'clock at night and slept.
