کودتا بود یا نبود؟

On August 19, 1953, did a "coup" take place, or was there a change of a non-coup nature?

From the perspective of "constitutional law," meaning analyzing the matter within the framework of the constitution at the time, I believe there may be doubts about calling the operation of that day a coup.

However, a coup is more of a political matter than a legal one. The political nature of the events of August 19 was undoubtedly in the form of a coup. The reason lies in the behavior of the government that emerged from that event, as it dissolved civil and political institutions, suppressed opponents and critics, imposed a severe repression on the country, turned parliamentary elections into a complete sham, and left no trace of constitutionalism.
