There is no doubt that Trump is an unconventional and unpredictable president with a self-interested and transactional personality. While he wants to do great things, he cares about his image in history and wants to leave a lasting political legacy.
He is seeking to complete the Abraham Accords and normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel, which Riyadh has considered impossible without the realization of a Palestinian state after the Gaza war. Can this political legacy be the establishment of lasting peace in the region and the realization of a Palestinian state?
