In an interview with NBC News anchor Kristen Walker, Trump stated that his goal for talks with Iran is to "completely dismantle Iran's nuclear program."

But Trump added, "I am willing to hear discussions and opinions about Iran's desire to have a peaceful nuclear program and to shut down its nuclear weapons program."

Trump added: "I'm ready to hear that. Civilian energy can lead to military war. But the deal with Iran is simple. I don't want them to have nuclear weapons."
