The student, who is studying security and preparedness at the Norwegian Arctic University (UiT), has not been identified
Norwegian authorities detained a 20-year-old man during an investigation at his home, claiming he may have endangered national security by passing sensitive information to foreign powers, ISNA reported.
The student, who is studying security and readiness at the Norwegian Arctic University (UiT) and whose identity has not been revealed, also runs a security company with dual nationals. This simultaneous activity of his, especially as Norway's relations with the United States and Russia continue to be strained since the start of the Ukraine war, raises serious questions about how sensitive information can be easily disseminated.
Norway's domestic intelligence agency (PST) arrested the man on Wednesday after discovering information he claimed was linked to his espionage activities.
