سخنگوی قوه قضاییه: درباره مجازات توهین به پرچم جمهوری اسلامی نص صریحی در قوانین نداریم

In 2017, it was suggested that 6 months to 2 years of imprisonment be considered for insulting the flag.

Abdollah Abdi - Abdi Media

When the spokesperson of the judiciary mediates the gap in the law; As a judge and jurist, isn't he aware that according to Article 167 of the Constitution, if the case is referred to them, the judges are obliged to issue a verdict based on valid Islamic sources or valid fatwas, if they are not involved in a lawsuit in the codified laws?

Isn't this kind of crime against the flag, which is a symbol of national unity, generally criminalized in existing normal laws?

Of course, my intention is not to criminalize this act or not to criminalize it.

I want to say, Mr. Speaker of the Judiciary, what signal does he give to the inflamed society?

Doesn't Mr. Director General of the Secretariat and Spokesman of the Judiciary know that his words and in fact, his signal causes more inflammation and anger and attacks on the flag, without fear of punishment?

What is really going on in the judiciary of the Islamic Republic?
