Abdi Media has obtained an important document showing that according to Ayatollah Khamenei's explicit directive, the Judiciary should calculate and deduct ten days from a prisoner’s sentence for each day spent in solitary confinement.

In these critical times for our beloved Iran, when protesters are brought to court to determine how much they must pay for their dissent, it is worthwhile to delve into the documents and secrets of the Islamic Republic’s judiciary. Specifically, we should review the significant documents concerning a prisoner whose judge was directly Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei (the judge with special appointments in the general and revolutionary courts of Tehran), and whom Ejei knows well.

Previously, I wrote a detailed note on the illegality of solitary confinement, which you can read at the following link if interested:

Now, addressing the Head of the Judiciary who said, "Let's have a discussion":

Mr. Mohseni Ejei, you must remember Gholamreza Mohammad Beigi Kasuai, one of the convicts from the Fazel Khodadad gang whom you judged?

After some time, Beigi Kasuai became an informant for you both inside and outside the prison, gathering information about the prison, prison guards, and inmates. He worked under special recommendations from Saidi, your interrogator and special assistant in the revolutionary and general courts, and possibly with your knowledge in the supervisory circle over Evin Prison, which was and remains unlawful.

According to the available evidence, he cleverly received a reward for his services: his 359 days of solitary confinement were calculated as 3,590 days, according to Ayatollah Khamenei's directive, and the case was closed.

For now, let's set aside the details of Beigi Kasuai’s case, which can be elaborated on later, and is partly mentioned in Mohsen Rezaei’s memoir, "For History."

Now for the more important questions:

1. If this explicit directive from Ayatollah Khamenei regarding solitary versus general imprisonment is to be implemented, why has it not been applied to all prisoners who have spent months or years in solitary confinement? And does the law not apply retroactively in favor of prisoners?

2. If this directive from the Supreme Leader is not executable and has been negatively interpreted by the judiciary as merely a suggestion, why was it applied to this prisoner?

3. And a more subtle question:
Why, and with what influence, were Jaafari Dolatabadi, the then-District Attorney of Tehran, and the executing officials of the government staff court unable to cancel this judicial order which I have published?

Mr. Ejei:

Following this leniency towards Gholamreza Mohammad Beigi Kasuai, what major frauds did he commit again? He was arrested and imprisoned but is now reportedly released on bail and involved in other economic activities. How was he released, and with what guarantees, from Greater Tehran Prison? What has the supervisor of the prison done regarding the collateral documents, and how is it that prisoners are not apprehended and returned to prison? What support and backing were involved? This is significant and worth considering.

Mr. Head of the Judiciary:

Finally, clarify whether the orders and opinions of the Supreme Leader and the Imamate of the Ummah under Article 57 of the Constitution take precedence over the law. The clear example is the calculation of solitary confinement as ten days' deduction from the sentence, which is discussed by Ayatollah Khamenei in "Sharh-e Esm."

Does Mr. Mahmoud Salarikia, the former Deputy for Prison Affairs under Prosecutor Mortazavi and current lawyer, recall giving similar orders for other special prisoners, reflecting the judiciary's double standards?

Mr. Mohseni Ejei:

If you are open to dialogue, and I know you read this note and your agents report it to you, please answer these simple, important, and documented questions from an independent journalist. If not, do not stage a propaganda show.

People, keep your eyes open and do not let any individual, faction, or media inside or outside Iran manipulate and direct you for their purposes.

My other message is for the judges who read this:

If you did not know until now, this document makes you aware. You are responsible before the people, God, and divine law for the judgments you issue, as God is aware of all matters.

Abdollah Abdi
