Independent investigations by Abdi Media clearly show that many efforts have been made by the husbands and other family members of the esteemed colleagues Ms. Niloofar Hamedi and Elaheh Mohammadi, as well as their respected lawyers and some related activists within the judiciary and higher levels, which I do not wish to detail as far as I have investigated and am aware.

Great efforts have been made to ensure that the trial cases of our esteemed journalist colleagues were referred to a non-specialized branch of the Tehran Court of Appeals, and the panel of judges in the first session determined that continuing their detention was unnecessary. Based on their judicial discretion, they released them on bail until the final hearing, issuance of the ruling, and other possible steps, such as a retrial in the Supreme Court and the enforcement of that ruling.

Upon their release, there have been many analyses from various individuals, especially in the virtual space, either for or against this action by the judiciary, which has deeply affected me.

I wish that everyone would currently respect this positive action by the judiciary and the panel of judges and refrain from prejudgment, pressuring the judiciary to hasten the issuance and finalization of the ruling, and from being influenced by the media and virtual space.

I don't want to believe that for a few individuals, ethics, humanity, and the suffering personalities of these two honorable women and their respected families are not so important, as if they only want them to remain in prison for their own political goals.

The freedom of Elaheh and Niloofar can serve the purpose of informing the public. Continuing their imprisonment, fueling it, or provoking or encouraging the issuance of such a ruling would be a great injustice, first to these two brave and suffering colleagues and their respected families, and then a betrayal of the media and political community of the country."
