سوال مهم از وزیر پیشین ارتباطات و فناوری اطلاعات

Dear Mr. Azari Jahormi
hello

The story of the lack of screen service for landline and mobile phones in Iran is a strange issue, and during the ministry of Mr. Soleimani, regulations were written for the management of this telecommunication service with great sensitivity.

It was thought that during the time of your ministry, with its informational and technical backgrounds and elites and your previous experiences; This regulation should be amended or at least the inclusion of its owners should be developed, but it was not.

It is very strange and you must be aware that in most countries the no-display service is easily left to others or is activated by default on mobile phones, which the subscriber is free to activate or deactivate.

Of course, you know that despite the above service being active for people who do not want their number to be public for any reason, it is easy for operators and information centers to find and track the caller's information in the systems.

But this service has been secured in Iran, why?

What is security in the world and is completely understandable is "non-display service" which is related to security and intelligence apparatuses, heads of countries, individuals and special authorities. that if someone calls them despite the lack of display service, they can see his number.

Although I agree that some people abuse this possibility like all services and technological phenomena, but you can think of the necessary measures and the whole problem should not be erased just because of the abuse of a few people.

If you have an explanation about this and the impossibility of normalizing it and the actions of your time, it is appropriate to share it; However, considering the current sensitivity to this simple telecommunication service in the country, it is not unlikely that the decision will be beyond the authority of the Minister of Communications (whoever the minister is).

thank you

Abdollah Abdi
