In the current judicial structure of the Islamic Republic, no court is convened regarding charges resulting in the deprivation of life (death penalty) and life imprisonment without the presence of a chosen or assigned lawyer, and issuing a sentence is not legitimate, even in the special courts of the clergy that have relative independence from the judiciary.

Moreover, death sentences are only executed with the approval of a branch in the Supreme Court and then with the consent of the head of the judiciary and the notification of the chief judge of the relevant province by the executing officer in the relevant public prosecutor's office.

No matter how quickly these steps are taken, and even if we do not consider the 20 days for the defendant or his lawyer to appeal the sentence, it cannot be executed within 48 hours or even a week.
