Pay attention to the remarks and the manner in which Omid Ghalibaf responded to the question about which authority is responsible for making decisions regarding the import of the iPhone 14, even by travelers. Then, review my previous notes on this subject in Abdollah Abdi Media.

The former presenter and current spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade (IMT) ambiguously states: "In addition to the Ministry of IMT, other institutions are also involved in this decision-making."

Does importing a phone and imposing restrictions on it, aside from coordination with the Ministry of IMT, the Anti-Smuggling Headquarters, and the Customs of Iran, implicitly require the approval of Ayatollah Khamenei?

And does it relate to his previous statements and possibly new opinions that might later be published in various sources or the memoirs of relevant individuals?

An example of the leader of the Islamic Republic's involvement can be found in the memoirs of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and other individuals, including Mahmoud Khosrowshahi, the former head of the Regulatory Authority for Communications and Radio, concerning the volume and nature of home internet as published on Abdollah Abdi Media’s Telegram channel.

Every country may restrict or ban imports or exports for various reasons based on its policies, which should be announced beforehand. However, what about individual travelers who are not importing commercially and have not been informed of any restrictions previously?

Abdi Media has received numerous reports and complaints from individuals who have imported this phone as travelers. Shouldn’t the decision-makers clarify the situation for them and prevent significant losses?
