In a conversation with the deputy governor, the workers spoke about their main demands, which include two months of outstanding salaries, non-payment of insurance premiums of the past few months, and problems with social security health coverage.
Iraj Shahi, the acting governor of Rezvanshahr, invited the members of the labor council and some of the elected workers of the protesting Chuka company to the meeting hall of the governor's office, and after listening to the concerns and problems of the workers, while announcing that the company's managers must respond to the needs of their workers, said: "The governor is following up on the issues raised by the workers of Chuka and is consulting with the provincial and Shasta managers to solve the problems of the workers."
