Apparently, in this alley and neighborhood, there have been numerous instances of purse snatching, theft, and attacks, with various warnings issued and letters written, and requests made to the police to install floodlights and lamps, or to station officers or a police booth, so that the students' comings and goings are not so perilous. However, no attention was paid, and no action was taken. Now, it seems that suddenly everyone has mobilized and quickly decided to set things right! Why did you not take this action earlier despite all these warnings? Did a young person have to lie in their own blood for you to take notice?"
