On May 5, Bandar Anzali hosted a group of Poles who entered the city to pay their respects to the tomb of 639 Polish immigrants resting in the Armenian cemetery of Bandar Anzali by passing through six European countries.

The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Bandar Anzali, members of the city council and representatives of the governor of Bandar Anzali.

The Polish Cemetery is the second largest cemetery for Polish soldiers in Iran.
