Hossein Razzaq announced on the X social network that Mehdi Mahmoudian is on a hunger strike in prison.

Razzaq wrote: Mehdi Mahmoudian has been on a hunger strike and medicine since the moment he entered Evin Prison in protest against the unjust sentences and repression.

The daughters of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Azar Mansouri have expressed concern in response to the hunger strike and due to Mahmoudian's illness.
