Sepideh Qolyan's brother, Mehdi Qolyan, posted on his Instagram page that his sister had been sentenced to two years in prison after being released for a slogan she had chanted in prison.

Mahdi Qolian, the brother of Sepideh Qolian, today announced on his Instagram page the release of his sister from Evin Prison.She was arrested in Esfand 2022 after chanting against the leader of the Islamic Republic and spent another two years and three months in prison.Having been arrested since Aban 2018 for covering the strike of Haft Tappeh workers and civil activities, she had been sentenced to prison several times, spending a total of more than six years in jail.
