The reason for the increase in victims of alcoholic beverages: the addition of ethanol and methanol to reduce the price

In June 1402, we were suddenly faced with a wave of poisonings from alcohol-containing drinks, so that in Alborz province, 191 people went to medical centers due to the bitter taste of a prohibited drink, and 17 people died.
Faraz Zandieh, an emergency medicine specialist:
They buy alcohol from petrochemical industries and add it to their products to increase the volume of drinks and make it affordable with the price they give to the customer. People who add alcohol to their products are mostly unaware that this alcohol contains methanol and can be deadly.
Most of the drinks that are consumed are not pure methanol and part of it is ethanol that is excreted from the body and after that methanol is activated in the body.
