Gathering of the staff of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz / Nurses sat around an empty table / "Our salaries are rials, our expenses are dollars"

Today, Monday, November 26, 2024, the staff of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz stopped work and gathered in protest against the lack of attention to their demands.
Increasing salaries commensurate with inflation, establishing a special exception, and strict implementation of the nursing tariff law are among the key demands of these personnel.
These nurses are also protesting forced overtime with very low pay.
In a dramatic move, they sat around an empty table and chanted: "Our salaries are rials, expenses are dollars."
