The continuation of the current management will make the water crisis worse in the coming years!

Somayeh Baghi, Rakna Reporter: Currently, more than 90 % of the water reserves of the country's large reservoirs are empty.

The water crisis in Tehran, Alborz, parts of Qazvin province and Abik city are very serious.

The situation of some provinces in the north of the country is also deplorable.  According to statistics, the volume of underground water was 1.5 billion cubic meters until a few years ago, which is currently 140 million cubic meters of these underground reserves and cannot be returned.

A short -term look at the country's water problem, with between 80 and 90 percent of the country's water spent on agriculture, more than 30 % of the country's water is wasted on the network, and there is no action to manage new methods and technologies, including water recycling, and the traditional view of the country's water problem is still dominated;  While developed countries with the same climatic conditions produce water, we still have eyes to the sky to rain and the dams are filled or asking people to consume less water, we cannot go through the water crisis and the situation will worsen day by day.
