We have entered the sixth water year accompanied by drought, and since the beginning of the 1404-1405 water year, not a single drop of rain has fallen in the country.
While during the same period last year, 20 millimeters of rainfall were recorded, and in the long-term period, 30 millimeters had been observed.
Tehran residents have cooperated well over the past seven months, reducing water consumption by about 10 to 12 percent, but given the climatic conditions and continued drought, this level of saving needs to be increased to about 20 percent.
